Côte de Nuits-Villages Clos Du Chapeau, 2011, Domaine De L'Arlot
Note: 15% new oak
A ripe and very fresh nose of plum, earth and a pretty mix of red berries introduces rich, round and quite supple flavors that possess good volume before terminating in a rustic, punchy and ever-so-slightly bitter finish of limited depth. This should drink well almost immediately.
This is actually quite good for what it is with lovely complexity.
