Chambolle-Musigny (Half-bottle), 2002, Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé
Note: from vines in the southwest portion of the village and includes some declassified 1ers from Les Baudes and Fuées
Tasting note: Deep ruby. This is deep, remarkably deep in fact for a villages wine with notably ripe perfumed black fruit aromas followed by dense, very sappy, very ripe flavors imbued with moderate yet completely buried tannins and a persistent, very complex finish. This is an outstanding wine for its level and offers superb freshness with plenty of underlying reserve and subtlety.
