Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru, 2013, Domaine Arlaud
Note: from a .17 ha parcel of 40+ year old vines located in Clos St. Denis proper
The reduction is sufficiently strong that all that can be detected is the wood treatment. The mouth feel of the medium-bodied flavors is markedly finer than any of the other grand crus in the range thanks to the relatively fine if firm tannins that shape the finish.
Even so this will clearly need time, in particular to develop more depth, as this is the least complex among the four domaine grand crus, at least at present.
