Chambolle-Musigny, 2013, Domaine A. F. Gros

A noticeable but not dominant touch of wood toast serves as a backdrop to the otherwise ripe mix of both red and blue pinot fruit.

There is fine richness and volume to the mouth coating medium-bodied flavors that presently lack a bit of vibrancy on the nicely persistent finish. It's hard to say whether the lack of vibrancy is just a phase or whether it's something more permanent but this is slightly flat today.
